Park Spotlight: Carl Miller Park

Carl Miller Park, 74 Sewell Rd., Newnan 

Carl Miller Park is a beautiful park with a great mixture of open space and trees.  The park's hours are 8:00 am - 8:00 pm daily from April to October and 8:00 am - 6:00 pm daily from November to March.  It is closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Day (Closing 4:00 pm New Year's Eve).  The Splash Pad is open from April through September.



There are lots of picnic shelters and open picnic tables and charcoal grills for family bar-b-ques.

The park has five pavilions that may be reserved by Newnan Utility customers at no charge. Pavilions 1-4 accommodates between 50-150 guests and the Main Pavilion located in the center of the park, is accessible to all visitors on a first come-first served basis.  Additionally, there are many picnic tables located throughout the park available to anyone on a first come-first served basis.  The following are prohibited: 

  • alcohol
  • obscene language
  • nails, scissors, screws, tacks, and/or glue in pavilions
  • water balloons and/or water guns
  • sidewalk chalk
  • pinatas

Additionally children under 16 must be supervised by an adult.


Preschool and elementary playgrounds

32,000 square foot Kids' Castle Playground

To keep the playgrounds beautiful for all who attend, visitors are asked to keep the following out of the area:

  • food or drinks
  • cigarettes
  • alcohol
  • crayons, pens or markers
  • glass bottles
  • pets

Hand sanitizer stations are placed throughout the park.

The park has a walking/jogging trail that is stroller accessible — one circuit is 6/10 mile.
