The Air Show has been a favorite event for aviation enthusiasts and families around metro Atlanta for years!
Again this year, fans will be treated to thrilling aerobatics and dazzling displays of power, both in the air and on the ground. The U.S Air Force Thunderbirds Team will highlight this year's event. The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds fly the F-16 Fighting Falcon and perform a combination of formation and solo maneuvers in an inspiring, patriotic, high energy demonstration. The four-jet diamond performs precision formation flight with the aircraft wingtips as close as 4 feet apart while performing loops, inverted rolls and even high performance turns! The two solo jets perform high energy maneuvers together and from opposite directions closing in on each other as fast as 1,000 mph. The six jets come together in the delta formation as the finale for the show, flying difficult formations and signature breaks that fill the sky with speed, sound and smoke trails!
In addition to the U.S Air Force Thunderbirds, there will be numerous other acts, as well as several aircraft on display.
The U.S. Air Force Heritage Flight program will present the evolution of USAF air power by flying today's fighter aircraft in close formation with vintage fighter aircraft incorporating fighters from World War II, the Vietnam War, the Korean War and other conflicts in which the USAF has been involved. Additional performers include the U.S. Navy’s E/A-18G Growlers, Remax Parachute Team, Buck Roetman performing daredevil aerobatic maneuvers, an attack helicopter demo and the F4U Corsair demo.
Gates open at 9 am on Saturday and Sunday. The aerial portion of the show runs from noon to approximately 4:00 pm.
General admission starts at $32. Children 5 and under are free in the General Admission seating area and do not need a ticket. Additionally, several ticket packages are available, including special seating areas for guests looking for better views or VIP treatment.
