Legacy’s production is directed by Mark Smith, choreographed by Bethany Hayes Smith and music directed by Jodi Cotton-Street. “The Little Mermaid is a show we’ve wanted to produce here for years” says Mark Smith. “It is a huge production, filled with wonder and imagination. It’s also great that it coincides with the release of the new live action Disney film. It’s a wonderful way to spend a summer evening with the whole family.”

“I think everyone loves the music of The Little Mermaid,” says Executive Producer and choreographer Bethany Smith, “the musical has all the magical songs from the original film and then some, and the costumes are absolutely incredible. I feel that audiences are transported under the sea right alongside Ariel and that’s a magic you don’t experience from a movie.” As an added bonus, Ariel will be available for photo opportunities following the show, and children who dress up like their favorite princess receive a free necklace.

Chelsie Burks stars as Ariel and is making her Legacy Theatre debut in the role. Grayson Yockey (Cinderella/Godspell) plays Prince Eric, and Cristina Mariano (Sister Act/Bright Star) portrays Ursula.
