On October 5, 2024, Peachtree City will host its second annual Hispanic Heritage Festival to proudly represent the 8,000 Hispanic residents in Fayette County. The local initiative began with a single vision of two career moms - Maricela Laverde and Mariana Campos. What started as a potluck picnic for families and friends at Lake McIntosh is now a gesture of pride and passion to gather local residents to embrace the true richness of the Hispanic culture through music, dance, food, and art.

The Hispanic Heritage Festival of Peachtree City is a free community event hosted by the private non-profit group, Latino Alliance of South Atlanta, in honor of Hispanic Heritage month. It is a much-anticipated annual event in the community since 2021. The attendees enjoy unique continuous entertainment that includes Hispanic music and dance performances. For our 2024 festival we have booked a talented flamenco guitarist, a live band, DJ set and a ballet folklorico dance performance from a TEOTL dance group with more than 20 dancers. Food featuring cuisine favorites from Mexico, Peru, Argentina and Puerto Rico will be available for purchase from food trucks and tents. Attendees can shop at the artisan craft booths and visit local business booths.

The Hispanic Heritage Festival will be held at Drake Field, 155 Willowbend Road, Peachtree City, on Saturday, October 5 from 3 pm to 9 pm. Admission to the event is free. Food and drinks will be available for purchase from food trucks. Additional parking will be found at the First Presbyterian Church on Willowbend Road.
