 Six Flags Over Georgia — the Thrill Capital of the South — invites guests to celebrate the magic of the season during Holiday in the Park® where the park transforms into a festive wonderland. Holiday in the Park features millions of lights, scrumptious holiday treats, classic live entertainment, and the star of the show - a brand new holiday light spectacular experience! 

 “There’s no better way to celebrate the holiday season with friends and family than with a visit to Six Flags Over Georgia.” said Park President Dale Kaetzel. “This year, we invite guests to gather around our new pixel tree, affectionately known as The Grand Fir, to watch ‘Oh What Fun!’ – A Holiday Light Spectacular. We look forward to creating cherished memories for all of our guests visiting Holiday in the Park, a premier destination for holiday thrills.” 

NEW FOR 2021: Oh What Fun! – A Holiday Light Spectacular

“Oh What Fun” – A Holiday Light Spectacular brings Christmas magic center stage with a pixel light experience displayed on the park’s brand-new, 28 foot-tall Christmas tree, The Grand Fir. This light spectacular features dancing LED lights choreographed in tandem to fan-favorite Christmas songs. Every fifteen minutes The Grand Fir comes to life with three unique holiday shows; “Christmas Cheer”, “Russian Dance”, and “Candela”, that inspire everyone to believe in the joy of Christmas.

This season, Holiday in the Park features even more new and guest-favorite experiences, including: 

  • NEW FOR 2021: Merry Lane, stroll through a luminary tunnel of dancing LED lights choreographed to classic holiday music; 
  • NEW FOR 2021: Holiday Traditions around the World, board the Holiday Express and take a trip to discover how cultures around the world celebrate the season; 
  • Ten unique themed Holiday Neighborhoods, such as Peppermint Plaza and A Main Street Christmas, decked for the holidays featuring millions of lights and festive décor; 
  • A visit to the North Pole, where guests can mail their letter to Santa Claus, play reindeer games, and get a Christmas photo of the big man himself; and 
  • The return of heartwarming, live holiday entertainment such as Retro Christmas Live!, Bad Bob Humbug, Christmas caroling, and more.

Holiday Giving Initiatives

Six Flags Over Georgia is a proud supporter of the organizations that make an impact in our community. New this holiday season, Six Flags is supporting Special Olympics. For every Holiday Friend plush toy purchased during the event, Six Flags will donate five dollars to Special Olympics. Six Flags Over Georgia continues to support Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta with plush toy donations gifted to patients. The park is also partnering with select community organizations including Let’s Go Play, an organization committed to creating fun for kids who live in uncertain circumstances.
