ProtoX Nano Drone: The World’s Smallest Quadcopter

July 27, 2016
We recently were sent the ProtoX Nano Drone to review.  This quadcopter is 50 mm and ideal for indoor flight.  The built-in LED’s are perfect for low-light conditions.  Recommended for ages 12+, it comes with a quadcopter, transmitter control, charger cable, and extra replacement blades.

The Proto-X has easy, medium and expert modes, and we found that it took us a few days to get the hang of it.  However, we did discover that by tapping the directional knobs, we were able to better control  the nano drone.  We also found that it was easier to practice outside, where there was more space…just beware of wind gusts that could sweep up the quadcopter pretty easily.  Speaking of which, .  this seems to be a sturdy little quadcopter.  We crashed it several times, but it kept going, undamaged.

Our nano drone ran for a good 5 minutes with each charge, and had a distance of about 20 yards.

Disclaimer:  I was sent the ProtoX Nano Drone in exchange for my honest opinion.
