Coweta Historic Courthouse (FREE) - Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the 1904 Classic Revival Courthouse anchors the town square.

McRitchie Hollis Museum
- The museum is home to exhibits that tell stories of Newnan and Coweta’s past. Guided tours include the history of the home, and a tour of the current exhibits.

Commemorative Air Force Airbase GA Museum- The Museum is Currently Closed. Airbase Georgia is assessing and redesigning its display of WWII and aviation artifacts, so tours of the museum artifacts are not available. This does not apply to our aircraft, or our larger items, such as the Link Trainer, the B-17 Ball Turret, and several uniform displays.

Tyrone Museum - Tyrone's Museum is located inside the former Town Hall's Council Chambers. The Museum is filled with hundreds of artifacts related to the history of Tyrone and the surrounding area.

Martin Luther King National Historic Site

Tour the home that Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. lived in from birth to age twelve.  Admission is free.

Atlanta History Center
- The Center is FREE every Juneteenth weekend.  (Check the website for exact dates and times). The Atlanta History Center features historic gardens and houses located on the grounds, including Swan House, Tullie Smith Farm, and Wood Family Cabin. It holds one of the largest collections of Civil War artifacts in the United States.

Brown’s Mill Battlefield Park – Explore a civil war battlefield through a self-guided tour.  Entrance to the site is free, and they are open seven days a week .  There is no welcome center available, but a detailed map in the parking lot outlines the direction and difficulty of the trails.

Kennesaw Mountain Battlefield
 
 A National Battlefield that preserves remnants of a Civil War battle that took place during the Atlanta Campaign. Admission and parking are free. A shuttle bus ride to the top of the mountain costs $3 for adults and $1.50 for children.
