Angelina Ballerina®, the “little star with big dreams,” shares her love of dance with children in Fayette County at Reigning Victory Dance Studio, an official Angelina Ballerina Dance Academy, and joins a growing network of over 110 studios across North America that offer weekly classes based on the beloved dancing mouseling, star of the Angelina Ballerina book series and animated television program.
The 34-week program is inspired by the CG-animated series, airing on PBS KIDS and Sprout®. Angelina Ballerina The Next Steps focuses on one storybook per month. Targeted at children ages three to six years old, the program teaches beginner ballet at two levels. The Angelina Ballerina Dance Academy curriculum was developed by dance education specialist Beverly Spell, master teacher and author of the Leap ‘N Learn program.
Angelina Ballerina’s voice guides aspiring dancers through their movement lessons, and the program incorporates music from Angelina Ballerina The Next Steps, as well as custom music developed by Spell and composer Scott Killian.
Angelina Ballerina Dance Academy in the U.S. and Canada was launched by HIT Entertainment, one of the world’s leading children’s entertainment producers, in partnership with AB Studio Licensing. The program already exists in the UK and Ireland, as well as Australia and New Zealand.
Reigning Victory Dance studio also provides education in dance to people over the age of 6 and is the home of Reigning Victory Dance Academy. Designed for the more serious dancers, the Academy is a program for youth ages six to 17 who want gain training and performance opportunities. Enrollment is based on interest, assessments and commitment.
Adults can join in on the fun with sessions in Liturgical Dance, Dance Fitness , and Yoga.
