The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra is giving away a family four (4) pack of tickets to "Tchaikovsky Discovers America With Classical Kids Live!", a part of the Family concert series presentations. Each family concert experience is hand-picked by our Education department, and features Conductor Jere Flint and the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, along with some special guest performers. Family concerts are an essential first step in introducing children to the lifelong pleasures of music.
Tchaikovsky Discovers America With Classical Kids Live!
Based on actual historic events, this story tells of the great composer’s arrival in New York for the grand opening of Carnegie Hall in 1891, and his adventure-filled trip to Niagara Falls. Audiences will enjoy more than twenty-five excerpts of the composer’s music — woven into the drama, as two performers recreate historical incidents from the composer’s life, and act out stories from his famous ballets.
