National Geographic Toys by Uncle Milton

Week 3: Puzzles and Games

August 22, 2012
Over the past couple of weeks, my family has had the opportunity to review National Geographic Toys by Uncle Milton.  If you missed those reviews, you can find the review for daytime toys here and the nighttime toys review here.

This week we had fun reviewing a 150 piece foil zebra puzzle and classic card games.

Puzzle:  My family loves puzzles and this one was perfect for my 8 and 10 year old kids.  There were challenging moments, but nothing that was too frustrating.  We spent close to an hour working together and conversing before the puzzle was complete.  When we had it completed, we had a 11 x 14 inch puzzle that was worthy of framing, especially with the foil that made the puzzle shimmer.

Whether your child likes the jungle or the ocean, there’s a Nat Geo puzzle they will enjoy.  Other available puzzles include the Shark Reef Foil Puzzle, Pride of Lions Panorama Puzzle, Squirrel Monkey Floor Puzzle, Penguins Puzzle, and more.

Games:  My daughter couldn’t wait to play the Uncle Milton Nat Geo Wild Four Classic Card Games.  The game tin comes with four classic card games - all with a wildlife theme. There is Crazy Apes (crazy eights), Go Divin (go fish), King of the Jungle (war), and Old Ellie (old maid).  We had to play through every game in one sitting!  And, my children have continued to enjoy these games.  Every morning before school, they manage to get a game started.   The game is completed when they come home from school…after their homework, of course.

The puzzle and game tins are perfect for holding the games and puzzle pieces, and will protect the pieces inside to keep them in good working order for a long time.
