Summer Reading Programs

In addition to the wonder summer reading programs at our libraries, below are some cool online reading programs!

Check It Out Reading Challenge - Students in grades K-12 who read five books can receive prizes, including a free youth ticket (with purchase at least 1 adult ticket) to a 2012-13 Atlanta Hawks regular season game. Deadline is Aug. 22. (Part of Georgia Libraries reading program).

Barnes & Noble Summer Reading Program
Read any 8 books and record them in the Reading Journal (PDF). Bring the completed Reading Journal to your local B&N store. Choose a FREE BOOK from our selection on the Reading Journal list at the store.

Chuck E. Cheese Reading Rewards
 - Read every day for 2 weeks to earn 10 free tokens!

iVillage PBS Summer Reading Community Challenge
 - Sign up now and starting June 18, you’ll get daily emails with literacy-building tips and activities from experts at PBS KIDS and Scholastic.
You’ll also get book suggestions and discounts, free downloads of PBS KIDS shows and a daily chance to win $1,000 and other great prizes.

Pizza Hut Book It, The Summer Reading Challenge - Read five books, and get entered to win a Diary of a Wimpy Kid summer fun prize package.
