Mrs. Amy Beaucham, director of Dramatic Fanatics, has teamed up with two very talented vocal instructors to bring two Musical Theater Summer Camps for children entering K-5th grade.  My own children have attended camp with Mrs. Beaucham, and it truly was one of the best experiences EVER!

Students that participate will receive the following instruction in:

VOICE: Introduction will be provided in the fundamentals of singing while learning a song.  This includes the basics of breath management, posture, vocal and muscle coordination, ear training and pitch recognition.

DRAMA:  Students will be introduced to the basics of acting and dramatic interpretation through games and activities that foster imagination and creativity. These processes are geared towards encouraging students to tap into their artistic self, to develop understanding of the rules of the stage, and to encourage confidence with auditioning, improvisation and performing. Students will be provided with an opportunity to learn and deliver a chosen monologue from a variety of sources .

MOVEMENT:  Warm-up, stretching, center floor and across floor exercises focused on the development of stage presence, with emphasis on combinations for songs to be performed, applying the basics of Alexander Technique.

PERFORMANCE:  Skills introduced in Voice 101, Drama 101, and Movement 101 will be combined and further applied in the interpretation of material to be performed on the last day of the camp.

A performance of songs and monologues will take place on the last day of the camp, with a meet and greet afterwards.
