Last week I told you that we were going to highlight some great causes. This week I'd like to introduce you to a phenomenal two-year old boy, named Korey Latham. Korey is fighting cancer, and The Cause for Korey is helping him and his family by offering some really fun activities for local kids. Please be sure to read Korey's article to see how you can have fun with your kids and still help a great cause.
Speaking of having fun with the kids, there are TONS of activities this weekend! I even had a tough time trying to decide which ones would make the Week's Picks! Most importantly, this week is St. Patrick's Day! There aren't a whole lot of kid activities in the area, but we made up for it with crafts, a fun book review and recipe. (See Kids' Corner below).
Also, Legoland Discovery Center, Six Flags Over Georgia and Dixieland Amusement Park in Fayetteville open this weekend. Find Discounts in the Local News Bit, and hear from one of our Macaroni Kid publishers, who got a preview of Legoland and shared it with us.
On another "note", do your kids enjoy acting and singing? A Company of Friends Productions is auditioning for the Emperor's New Clothes Musical. Performing June 14-16, this is promising to be a wonderful family event that I'm looking forward to seeing!
