Bye Bye Learning Gaps!

If you are, or have been, the parent of a child who struggles to excel in school, then you might already be familiar with the term learning gap. A learning gap is a notable difference between what your child knows versus what they are expected to know in school. Typically, these differences grow over the summer break, compound year after year, and can cause a child to lose faith in their ability to catch up to the rest of the class—or to perform well on the many standardized tests they are required to take.

To remedy this situation, many parents are turning to the Aloha Learning Center of Peachtree City—“Aloha” for short—which specializes in closing learning gaps. The center hires certified teachers with many years of experience to work with students in small groups. Together they:
  • master the common core state standards in Math and Language Arts.
  • excel in math concepts, from basic arithmetic to advanced mathematics.
  • polish their written prose through time-tested writing strategies.
  • improve reading comprehension, vocabulary, and grammar.
Although tutoring centers are a dime a dozen, the Aloha Learning Center of Peachtree City strives to build meaningful relationships with each of the families they help. Many of the parents who have started with Aloha—for the sake of closing learning gaps—stayed with them after the objective was achieved because the center is focused on a bigger picture; getting students ahead, discovering their true potential, and bringing out the best in each child.

Parents are always welcome to visit the center, shake hands with the staff, and get a free assessment of their child’s current academic standing. “It’s so important that we get to talk with the parents,” says Alka, the center director. “Most of the time their intuition gives us better insight into what’s going on and how best to help their child.”

Based on the free assessment, the Aloha team creates a roadmap to success which identifies important milestones to reach. Your child will be assigned to an experienced tutor who will work with them until all learning gaps are closed. “We’re particular about who we hire,” Alka points out. “Qualifications are great, and we look for the best, but in addition to that, genuine passion and dedication are a must. Our success as a center is due in large part to the fact that we are fully invested in each child. Our teachers draw immense satisfaction from watching kids ‘get it’. We love to see that moment, when the light bulb goes off in their mind and a bright idea has taken shape.”

The Aloha team has recently expanded to Stockbridge as well, and continues to grow. For more information about fees, free assessments, and how to schedule a visit, consult the contact information below:
