Labor Day Run and Tot Trot at The Avenue.  Come sweat your socks off and celebrate the last blast of summer at the family-friendly Labor Day 5K and FREE Tot Trot.


Watch the DragonCon Parade. Catch over 3,000 of your favorite sci-fi and fantasy characters marching down Peachtree Street in the annual Dragon Con Parade.  Dragon Con is the largest multi-media, popular culture convention focusing on science fiction and fantasy, gaming, comics, literature, art, music, and film.  The parade starts at 10 am on Saturday, September 1.  If you can’t make the parade, no worries!  It will be broadcast live on The CW Atlanta on September 3, beginning at 10:00 AM.

Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game.  On Saturday, September 1 at 3:30 pm, the Washington Huskies and Auburn Tigers face off at The Mercedes-Benz Stadium to kickoff SEC football season. Get fired up at the 'FanZone' with interactive games, sponsor attractions and to cheer on your team as they walk toward the stadium. Can't make the game? Check it out on ABC.

Enjoy the Sky High Hot Air Balloon Festival at Callaway Gardens. Soar into September at the  annual Sky High Hot Air Balloon Festival.  The weekend kicks off with extraordinary Night Balloon Glows and continues with balloon flights and tethered balloon rides, a classic car show, live music, beach activities and much more.  The Festival runs September 1-2.

Labor Day Weekend at Stone Mountain.   This Labor Day weekend, Stone Mountain Park honors the American spirit through a three-day celebration from Sept. 1-3, highlighted by extended fireworks shows. The fireworks displays will be seen after the park’s famed Lasershow featuring songs about working men and women.
