The Rock Ranch Kicks Off Fall Family Fun Days Sept. 26

Seven Weekly Festivals - Each with a Unique Theme, Entertainment, Music, and Food

August 27, 2015
The Rock Ranch, a 1,500-acre working cattle ranch founded by the late S. Truett Cathy, Founder of Chick-fil-A,® will kick off Fall Family Fun Days on Sept. 26, 2015, with a wide variety of outdoor family activities.  Kids and parents alike can enjoy a full day in the country with acres of room to run and play.  Visitors can enjoy zip lines, hay rides, pumpkins, Tiny Town (a village of themed playhouses), a locomotive train, a petting zoo, paddle boats, pumpkin cannon, pony rides, cane pole fishing, carousel, live bands, special events, and much more.  Special event day themes this year include “Hats off to Heroes,” “Lumberjack Day”, Georgia’s official “Day of the Cowboy,” Hot Air Balloon Rally, “Not So Spooky” Halloween Fest, “National Pumpkin Destruction Day”, and “Great Outdoor Adventure.”  (For more details on Fall Family Fun Days themes and activities, see attached descriptions and photos.)

The Rock Ranch also offers the challenge of navigating a corn field maze.  This year’s corn maze celebrates “Georgia Grown” produce, products and livestock. The Rock Ranch itself produces Brangus beef that is grass-fed, grain-finished with no steroids or hormones.  The ranch also grows fresh produce including strawberries, blackberries and fresh corn just to name a few. This produce is sold in the farm’s Georgia Grown certified Farm Market. U-Pick experiences are also available from spring through the fall.

“We’re very excited to celebrate Georgia’s diversity in locally grown food and products, this year,” said Jeff Manley, general manager of The Rock Ranch.  “An experience at The Rock Ranch is going to be a full day of activities and memory making for families, and our visitors are going to have fun learning about Georgia’s largest industry, agriculture, which contributes billions of dollars to the state each year.”

The Rock Ranch is open each Saturday beginning Sept. 26 to Nov. 7 from 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Admission is $15 (plus tax). Children two and under are free. Individual fall season passes can also be purchased for 24.50 (plus tax). On September 26th, all public, private, or home school teachers with a valid school ID or proof of home school status will receive “bounce-back” passes for up to four paying guests to revisit The Rock Ranch on any of the following Fall Family Fun Days. This same offer is available to law enforcement personnel and first responders with proper identification. Tickets are sold online at www.TheRockRanch.com or at the gate, and two-dollar discount coupons are available at Chick-fil-A locations. Admission is 25% off for seniors (62 and older) and military personnel with proper badge or ID.

Guests may reserve a campfire picnic site for their group during a Fall Family Fun Day.  Private campfire sites are $55.00 (plus tax) for an entire day. Each site includes picnic tables, firewood, and seating.  Overnight accommodations are also available in “Southern Living” style Farm Stay houses or camping in oversized Conestoga wagons, each equipped with eight bunk beds.  Farm Stay House and Conestoga wagon experiences are available only by reservation.
