Local Independence Day Events

July 4: Newnan’s 4th of July Parade, Festival and Fireworks
The annual Independence Day parade will begin at Veterans and travel south along Jackson/LaGrange Street. The parade will end at Greenville Street Park. The gates at Newnan High School’s Drake Stadium will open at 5:30 pm. Fun, festivities, food, children’s activities and entertainment will be available as concessions start at 6 p.m.
Cost: Free to attend, food costs vary

July 4: Peachtree City’s July 4th Parade and Fireworks
Parade begins at 9am and will be held rain or shine.   Fireworks at dusk, depending upon the weather.  No festivities at City Hall, as in years past.
Cost: Free to attend

July 4: Moreland Independence Day Celebration
This is an Annual July 4th BBQ.
Cost: Most activities are FREE; $8 for a Bar-B-Que plate

June 27: Celebrate America, The Rock
Celebrate America will open at 10 a.m. for families to enjoy the attractions.  At  8:00 p.m. the concert will and program will begin before the fireworks.

July 2-5: Fantastic Fourth Celebration, Stone Mountain Park
The special patriotic fireworks finale will immediately follow the Spectacular Lasershow all three nights!   Cost:  The Lasershow is free with your $15 parking fee to enter the Park and takes place at Memorial Lawn in the Stone Mountain Attraction area.   Bring your own blankets and lawn chairs.  And plan to arrive early with games or a picnic!    

July 3: Celebrate at Atlanta Motor Speedway
O'Reilly Auto Parts Friday Night Drags & Show-N-Shine Week Ten / Fireworks Night.

July 3-4: Coca-Cola® July 4th Fest at Six Flags
All guests that arrive to the park with a Coca-Cola® can, can be admitted into the park an hour early. Each night at 9:30 p.m., Six Flags Over Georgia will be honoring the annual Independence Day tradition with an amazing fireworks show! 

July 4: Hampton July Festival
Kids start decorating your bicycles, motorized car or scooter for the July 4th parade! Parade starts at 10 AM, lineup at Bobby McBrayer City Park along College Street. Registration not necessary for kids, just come-on and join in the parade. Children walking or bicycling are welcome, registration is not required.  

July 4:  Panola State Park
Slow down this July 4th and join a ranger for a leisurely stroll to the top of Panola Mountain. As the sun sets we will enjoy a panoramic view of Stone Mountain and Atlanta's Independence Day Celebrations from a distance. Bring water, bug spray, and a flashlight for the walk back down the mountain. Participants must register in advance.

July 4: Jonesboro's Fireworks at the Beach
Enjoy the day at the beach with live music and fireworks. Music provided by Soul Complete Band and 911 Band.  

Come join your neighbors for the annual Douglasville Independence Day Parade and Fireworks extravaganza. Parade begins at 10am and proceeds west down Church Street. Fireworks begin shortly after dusk (approx. 9pm) and prime viewing areas are the Arbor Place mall front parking lot or Walmart parking lot.

July 4: Chattahoochee Hills: 4th of July Celebration
Parade in Serenbe at 10am.  Festivities at Hutchinson Ferry Park from 5-8pm with a picnic from one of the two food vendors or bring your own food and drink! At 6:30 enjoy the concert by Tara Winds!

July 4: Griffin's Parade and Fireworks
Parade is downtown Griffin. Fireworks at Kiwanis Fairgrounds at dusk.

July 4:  July 4th Weekend Star Spangled Beach Party at Callaway Gardens
Enjoy access to the Gardens attractions from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and the Star Spangled Beach Party festivities at Robin Lake from 7 a.m. until the fireworks finale.  Highlights include beach activities, live music - headlined by the Swingin' Medallions, the FSU Flying High Circus and our annual Fireworks Extravaganza. Be sure to pack plenty of red, white and blue for this All-American Weekend! 

4th of July Extravaganza at Nash Farm 
This year's festivities begin at 1:00pm and include live music, car, motorcycle, tractor, and truck show, kids play area, inflatables, hayrides, zipline, festival foods, a bingo tournament, raffle with cash prizes,  and an incredible fireworks display beginning around 9:00 pm! 

July 4: Red White & View at the Georgia Aquarium
Red White & View gives families celebrating the Fourth of July in Atlanta access to the city’s best view of the Centennial Olympic Park fireworks show from 7:30-11 p.m.

July 4: Centennial Park
Live, family-friendly entertainment performs in the late afternoon and the evening concludes with an impressive fireworks display that lights up the beautiful, downtown Atlanta skyline. The televised fireworks display is synchronized with a special selection of patriotic and popular music celebrating America’s independence.  MARTA is strongly encouraged.  

July 4:  Atlanta Braves, 4th of July All American Fireworks Spectacular 
Spend 4th of July with the Braves! Stay after the Diamondbacks - Braves game and enjoy the best fireworks display in the southeast! The All-American Fireworks Spectacular will feature incredible fireworks displays choreographed to Patriotic music!

July 5: Griffin First Assembly's Independence Day Extravaganza
Enjoy games, rides, and food! Salute to America and our Military Branches with a performance by the Griffin First Assembly Celebration Choir & Youth Choir. JOY FM Radio at 2 pm. Building 429 in concert at 8pm - fireworks.

July 5: Rock Springs Church in Milner Independence Day Celebration
Join us for a fun-filled day with games, attractions, food and great entertainment with the Charlie Daniels Band! Also featuring featuring Jep and Jessica Robertson and Governor Mike Huckabee. Fireworks at nightfall!
